About Sheli Fulcher Koontz
Sheli Fulcher Koontz’s mission is to take the guesswork out of navigating the legal system maze and provide concierge-style legal services that her clients need to enjoy long-term stability and success for themselves and their families. Sheli earned her Juris Doctor at the University of Idaho in 2001, after obtaining degrees in molecular biology and forensic sciences from Northwest Nazarene College and Marquette University. She is also an adjunct professor at the University of Idaho College of Law. Sheli handles cases in the areas of estate planning, probate, family law, personal injury, family law mediation, and co-parenting coaching.
In 2008, she founded and managed FULCHER KOONTZ LAW PLLC and joined the firm now known as JOHNSON MAY in 2018, after 10 years of independent practice. Sheli is the Managing Partner of JOHNSON MAY. Sheli has been an active member of the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA) since her law school days. She serves on its Board of Directors and served on its Executive Committee. Sheli was named ITLA President in 2015-16 and is one of only 4 women to serve in that office in over 50 years. She has also been recognized as a Mountain States Super Lawyer since 2018. Sheli is a long-time member of the Junior League of Boise, serving in many leadership roles while promoting volunteerism and programs benefitting women and children. She was also a Cub Scout Den Leader for Pack 100 and currently serves as Committee Chair of Mtn. West Boy Scout Troop 94.
As a 4th generation Idahoan, Sheli enjoys all the wilderness, wildlife, and wonders that Idaho offers. When she’s not working or volunteering, Sheli is likely snow skiing, paddle boarding, or hiking into a backcountry mountain lake with her dogs and family.
