Jennifer Moss joined by Jordan Risch will take you down the path of what makes the Firefly Petunia glow, how the soft launch in 2024 to the market went, what to look for in 2025 and where to find this exclusive glowing beauty. We will dive into how to care for it, how to best view its stunning moon type glow as well as how to capture it on your own smartphone camera. We will have plants on hand to see up close and may even give a few away. The seminar will conclude with where one can procure their very own Firefly Petunia and the events that are being built around this incredible flower!
About Jennifer Moss & Jordan Risch
Jennifer Moss is a dedicated leader, industry advocate, and hands-on expert in horticulture and community development. A graduate of the University of Idaho with degrees in Communications and Public Relations, she began her career in hospitality before returning to her family’s greenhouse business, where integrity is at the core. She worked her way up, mastering every role on the farm and becoming a respected voice in the industry. In 2024, Jennifer spearheaded the launch of the Firefly Petunia at Moss Greenhouses, bringing a new, innovative variety to market. Her team at Moss can also boost that their plants made the cover of Time Magazine in November of 2024 for Best Inventions of the Year for the breeder who created the product. Her commitment to growth and excellence extends beyond the greenhouse—she has served on local Rotary Clubs for 13 years, played a key role in developing the Twin Falls Visitor Center as part of the Chamber of Commerce Board, and spent eight years on the Idaho Nursery and Landscape Association Board. Her leadership has earned her recognition on Times-News and Greenhouse Product News 40 Under 40 lists, the 2023 HILA from Greenhouse Management Magazine, and a recent graduation from the AmericanHort HRI Leadership Academy. An avid reader, outdoor enthusiast, storm chasing skier, and passionate home chef, Jennifer believes in tackling challenges head-on and creating meaningful change. She leads with integrity, resilience, and a commitment to excellence—showing up every day to do the hard work that matters.
Jordan Risch was born and raised just a stone’s throw of the garden center and understands the importance of supporting the local agricultural community. For that reason we source all of our fresh produce and nursery stock from local growers first. The plants grown here in our Idaho soil tend to not only survive better but thrive. After college, he ran his own landscape company for several years before opening the first “Jordan’s Pumpkin Patch Christmas Tree Lot” on the corner of Victory and Cole just a mile down the road from where he grew up. From there the business grew to include two locations and more attractions.
