Basic Tree Pruning for the Urban Gardener

Two years ago we put on a seminar at the Flower and Garden show on basic tree pruning and it was very well attended. We would be interested in putting on a similar presentation but going in depth a bit more and doing a live pruning demonstration. We would help to equip homeowners with the fundamental tools needed to identify when a tree needs pruning, the best time of year to prune the tree, the tools needed, and how to effectively make cuts to the tree. This seminar would help homeowners to feel empowered to conquer some of their own projects if they are a DIY homeowner, and if they are more "hands off" it helps to give a homeowner the confidence to know when to call an arborist, and to feel comfortable talking with the arborist about their goals.
